WOMEN'S HOUSE – Asheville, NC

The Women's House is one of 20 houses in Oakwood, the first subdivision of Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity. The house, designed by a woman architect (Patti Glazer), was sponsored by the Buncombe County Women Attorneys and built by all women volunteers. Handicap access was provided to accommodate the needs of the oldest member of the four generations of women for whom the house was designed.
