FRENCH BROAD RIVER PARK - Asheville, NC

The French Broad River Park is the initial project in an on-going effort to revitalize the city's urban riverfront into a 17-mile greenway. We designed the first two public park structures for RiverLink and the City of Asheville: a public restroom facility and a large group picnic shelter. Design consideration was given to durability and ease of maintenance as well as fulfilling the stringent regulations for building in the flood fringe of the river. Other park amenities include hiking/ biking trails, fishing piers and a playground.
