Built in the 1920's as a medical office facility, the building had life-safety deficiencies. After our extensive code study, building renovations included new sprinkler and fire alarm systems for the 7-story structure, creating fire-rated corridors and shafts, enclosing and pressurizing the single open stairwell, and providing a generator as required by the high-rise code.
