Ben & Jerry's Asheville

This Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop is located in downtown Asheville. As a social justice company, the progressive ice cream maker from Vermont focuses on product quality, economic reward and a commitment to the community. The murals depict Asheville’s renown drum circle, skyline and natural surroundings.  Design and construction challenges included providing retail, support spaces and code requirements within the confines of a narrow (12’ wide) space.  Also challenging: modifications to utilities in the 100-year old building with occupied residential condos on the upper floors.
